I hate making decisions

My mind is racing. I love being on this Island, but I hate not having Jesse around even more. Our land lord is trying to get us to stay, by including us in his investment here. The offer sound very yummy, but I choose Jesse over a yummy offer. I feel like we do not have any time as a whole family here. The only fun family thing we did "together" in the last 9 months was this last weekend. We went to Bellevue and stayed with the family there. Then we rented a Hotel room and let the kids swim until they collapsed. We also went on several walks through some great parks. Just spending time together was so great. I do lots of fun stuff with just me and my little men, but is is so much more grand having the big man there. I think we are going to take the 20 hours a week Jess dose commuting and put those hours back into family time. We are considering Issaquah and the little communities around there. That area is so beautiful. The Mountains are so majestic. Lots of hiking incredible camping. Oh yeah and we would be 20 minutes from skiing. The area we are looking at is very private, so we would still be out of the rat race. The stores I adore are 10 minutes away Trader Joes, Whole Foods,Costco, and the most gorgeous farmers market I have ever seen. Making this move would free up so much time and include Jesse in the family more. That to us is worth leaving this fantastic Island. Unless something happens in the next couple of months to keep us here the Browns will be heading over the water once again.

I want the sun

I am so tired of the gray skies. It is worth plowing threw these gray months to get to the summer and fall. I have never seen so much beauty in the summer and fall. Those two seasons here are absolutely perfect. The temperature, the green, the smell, and the energy is fantastic.

My first time

Ok, so I am going to give this a shot. I have so many people that I want to keep in touch with and I am so bad at it. Everyone wants pictures etc... I am going to do my best to include you all in our life adventure. We are in a really cool place right now. We live on Whidbey Island out side of Seattle Washington. It is so beautiful here. I want everyone to come and see this place. The community is small and the people are so nice and creative. We live in a place where simplicity is the way of life. Stress is low and people say hi and take the time to mean it. The ocean is not hard to get to and the Mountains are the perfect backdrop for such a place.

We have ships and sailboats, people flying kites, and we must not forget the Salmon and mussels. Hiking and biking are common activities here, but I have to say my most favorite thing to do is to walk the beach with my boys. There is nothing like it. The Salty breeze, the waves crashing, seals playing, driftwood to make forts with, clams to dig for, and waves to play in.

So much nurturing happens on the beach I think it is one of the most sacred places to be. I love to pack a cool picnic for my guys and make it an event. We have met some really neat people here that are becoming more like family.

Jacob is 10 and such a cool kid. He has so much drive and is good at everything he does. He enjoys all sports, drawing, fishing, video games, spending one on one time with people. He is very focused, He dose well in school and is well liked by all of his class.

Tristen, at 8, is such an old soul. He is so sensitive to others and his environment. He is a dreamer and loves music. He plays sports, but his true love is skate boarding. His friends and family are very important to him. He is confident and is not afraid to speak the truth he knows.

Gavin is well.... he is 4 now and he is very loud. Any one who knows me knows how bad my ears are. I think I am getting close to being permanently deaf. The supper nanny ideas have kind of been working, I am just not as consistent as I should be. What are you going to do when you are the youngest of three boys? You have to yell to be heard. Ok , enough of the funny. Gavin is a sweaty when he is not sticking his tong out at you and ignoring you on purpose.

His favorite thing to do is to have you ask him four times to do something and then do the opposite as fast as he can, then scream. He truly just wants to be heard and to have his way all of the time. I told the other boys to not give in to him all of the time when his was cute and little. It was going to bite them in the butt ...Alas, it has. Gavin has figured out that he is bigger than he used to be. The halo of my littlest angle is being tarnished and it sucks. We are all trying to learn how to reason with a four year old who thinks he is a 10 year old with benefits.
